In partnership with the Australian Independent Records Association, Carlton will be giving one lucky artist or band a $50,000 grant to tour, record and establish themselves overseas. The grant was established last year and is open to any Australian bands or artists that are either self-released or signed to an independent label. Last years winner was the explosive garage rock act King Gizzard and The Lizzard Wizzard who have been doing incredibly well in both the local and US territories, thanks in part to this grant. So get that music out there, and get your applications in, this is one grant that really could be a game changer for an indi act.
