Cold War Kids have dropped their second single from their upcoming and much-awaited new album Hold My Home. Titled ‘First’, the new track is out now via Create/Control and Downtown Records is perhaps their biggest sound yet. A passionate take on their elevated indie-rock, ‘First’ channels the emotionally raw vocal range of Willett balanced expertly against thundering drums. The track is grand and regaling, a sonically uplifting mix of jittery guitars, handclap rhythms, and dynamic vocal harmonies that Cold War Kids have made their signature move. Their hotly anticipated headlining appearance at 2014/15’s Falls Festival offers Australian audiences to be among some of the first in the world to hear the tracks from the forthcoming record “Hold My Home” set to be released October 17th.
