Remote Control Records has recently announced the signing of Melbourne ten piece, Dorsal Fins, ahead of their debut album Mind Renovation. The diverse outfit join the stellar roster of Remote Control bands including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Client Liaison. Klo and Velociraptor. Dorsal Fins are the brainchild of Liam McGorry (Saskwatch / Eagle & The Worm). The group started from Liam’s idea to experiment with new sounds and processes. Although they had no strict plan to create anything; the beauty of throwing a bunch of musical legends into a room is that you will definitely end up with something special. The forthcoming LP sees the group collaborate to create a genre-spanning sound that is held together by the excitement, sincerity and instrumental prowess of the ten or so musicians.
Mind Renovation will be released on Friday 13th February via Gripless / Remote Control.
